Peter Lam

Dr Peter Lam is a nationally and internationally recognised orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon. He has particular expertise in sports related injuries of the foot and ankle including the latest techniques in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) for the correction of bunions and certain forefoot deformities and arthritis of the big toe metatarsophalangeal joint. He also offers ligament reconstruction, realignment surgery and treatment of ankle/hindfoot arthritis.

Bobby Ndu

Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship Director. Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Ndu is a Penn Medicine physician. I am passionate about restoring mobility and enhancing the quality of life through surgical excellence in foot and ankle reconstruction. I am a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with over 10 years of experience. My mission is to provide personalized, patient-centered care with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques to optimize recovery and long-term outcomes.

Brad Abicht

Dr. Abicht is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon practicing for over a decade at Gundersen Health System (GHS) in La Crosse, WI. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and currently serves as department chair for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department at Gundersen Health System. Dr. Abicht is actively involved in medical education, medical leadership, as well as research with regular publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board for multiple journals. Dr. Abicht is a leading surgeon innovator within the foot and ankle space, with particular interests in percutaneous and MIS techniques as well as emerging technologies that advance patient care. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally on related foot and ankle topics. Outside of work, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and two sons.

Kelsey Millonig

DPM, MPH, FACFAS

Dr. Kelsey Millonig is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon and is elated to serve the people of her home state, Iowa. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes in foot and ankle surgery with innovative techniques, research, and leadership. Dr. Millonig offers expertise in minimally invasive surgery (bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot), limb deformity correction and lengthening(clubfoot, congenital defects, brachymetatarsia, or traumatic deformity), orthoplastic reconstruction (soft tissue injury), nerve injury, charcot neuroarthropathy, arthritis, total ankle replacement, and traumatic injuries. With her extensive athletic background she also enjoys treating athletes with sports injuries allowing them resume competitive activity.

Brian Burgess

DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Brian Burgess is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery. His treatment philosophy stresses conservative management and an evidence-based approach to surgical intervention when indicated. Prior to surgery, Dr. Burgess uses a variety of conservative techniques including injections, bracing, orthotics and physical therapy. With an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques, he frequently returns his patients to an active lifestyle in a quick and safe manner.
Dr. Burgess is well-trained in all aspects of the foot and ankle and has a special interest in minimally invasive bunion correction, minimally invasive fracture repair, Achilles tendon disorders, acute and chronic ankle sprains, ankle arthroscopy, heel pain treatment, orthotic therapy, sports-related injuries and trauma/fractures of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Burgess received his podiatry degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2009 and his bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Burgess completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Burgess is actively involved with medical education. He is the Fellowship Director of Hinsdale Orthopaedics (IBJI) Foot and Ankle Fellowship. He is actively involved within The College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons where he dedicates considerable time training medical students, residents and experienced surgeons. He frequently lectures nationwide and is an invited faculty at advanced ankle arthroscopy courses and annual scientific conferences.

Patrick DeHeer

As a board-certified podiatrist and pediatric specialist, Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM can help with the most complex of foot and ankle ailments. Dr. DeHeer is in private practice and cares for patients at Hoosier Foot & Ankle. After earning his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Dr. DeHeer went through his residency in podiatric surgery at Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. He then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle arthroscopy. Dr. DeHeer is double board certified through the ABPS, specializing in foot surgery, as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He holds professional memberships with the APMA, the ACFAP, and the ACFAS. He is the team podiatrist for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.Dr. DeHeer is the founder of Step-by-Step Haiti and Foot Aid a medical missionary with 25 trips worldwide and won the Humanitarian Award from the APMA in 2011 and was honored again in 2014 by the FIP.

Tyler Gonzales

Tyler A. Gonzalez, MD, MBA, is a fellowship-trained and board certified orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon at Prisma Health Orthopedics in Columbia. After completing his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Berkeley, he received a Master of Business Administration and his MD from UCLA in Los Angeles. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston and his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gonzalez has focused on improving patient care, medical education and research. His interest and passion in translational, clinical and biomechanical research has prompted over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications and presentations. He routinely lectures at regional, national and international forums on foot and ankle topics and on improving value-based patient care.

Dr. Gonzalez is an active reviewer for publications, including Foot and Ankle International, Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics, and Foot and Ankle Specialist. He is a member of various foot and ankle surgery societies and is president and co-founder of Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Inc., a collaboration of foot and ankle surgeons to improve the delivery of healthcare, innovate on current surgical technologies and advance overall patient care.

He has a clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery, minimally invasive bunion correction, ankle replacements, ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle arthritis, Charcot Marie Tooth disease, sports-related injuries, cartilage preservation and replacement surgery, bunion and hammertoe surgery, ligament/tendon disorders, dance medicine, and orthopedic trauma and fracture care.

Outside of his clinical interests, Dr. Gonzalez's passions include medical education, entrepreneurship, healthcare management and policy, patient quality and safety, value-based healthcare research, and clinical outcomes research.

Raquel Sugino

Dr. Sugino is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in comprehensive reconstruction of the foot and ankle. She is board certified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).
Dr. Sugino advanced her surgical and clinical training by completing an additional year of fellowship at the Newport Advanced Foot & Ankle Fellowship in Newport Beach, CA. Her training focused on reconstructive forefoot, hindfoot and ankle surgery, including complex Charcot reconstructions utilizing Ilizarov external fixators, limb deformity correction, lower extremity trauma, sports medicine, total ankle replacement, and plastics procedures including advanced muscle, adipofascial and skin flaps for limb salvage.
Prior to fellowship, Dr. Sugino completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL where she trained at the prestigious Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. Simultaneously, she completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship that specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of numerous skin and soft tissue disorders including skin cancer with Bako Pathology in Alpharetta, GA. She received her medical education from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Sugino grew up in Wailuku, HI and received her B.S. in Biology, Minor in Music, and M.S. in Molecular Biology Infectious Disease from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
Dr. Sugino has been very active in research throughout her training, and she has multiple awards for her work. She is a speaker at many conferences around the country, and she is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society (AMOS).
Dr. Sugino is recognized as a devoted patient advocate who focuses on advancing patient care through research, education, and treating patients like family. She incorporates evidence-based medicine and the most advanced treatments and technologies specific to each patient. Her passion in research and remaining current on the latest studies has a large influence on how she guides individualized patient care.
Dr. Sugino enjoys training for marathons, soccer, hiking, camping, surfing, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and their rescue dog, Foxy.

Jeffrey Holmes

Jeffrey (Jeff) Holmes, DPM, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and anklesurgeon. Dr. Holmes completed an Advance Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Center for Orthopedic Research and Education Institute. He specializes in total ankle replacement, ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, forefoot/rearfoot reconstruction, bunion correction, limb salvage, ligament/tendon repair, arthritis repair, fusions, injection, and sports medicine-related injuries. He is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of the latest literature and techniques. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with others through training residents and fellows and lecturing around the country. For the past six years, he has helped to educate and train fellows as assistant director of a renowned foot and ankle fellowship program.

Jonathan Fisher

After completing his initial studies at the University of Saint Thomas, Jonathan Fisher received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines Medical University Medicine and Surgery in 2004. Dr. Fisher is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association and is board qualified in all areas of foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction. Jonathan completed his foot and ankle surgical residency in 2007 at Detroit Medical Center with advanced training in lower limb salvage and reconstruction under Dror Paley, MD and John Herzenberg, MD. He then went on to complete an Orthopedic Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Detroit where he served as Senior Pediatric Orthopedic Fellow. Further experience was gained through an additional fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction and Sports Medicine with Dr. Sigvard Hansen at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Fisher provides care for patients in the areas of adult and pediatric foot and ankle including reconstructive surgery, foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine, and internal and external fracture fixation. He is board certified. He enjoys the outdoors – skiing, backpacking, hunting and fishing. He also loves competing in triathlons and has raced on the US and International Pro Cycling circuits. His love of the outdoors fuels his enthusiasm in getting his patients back to the things they love.

I am a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery. I completed my training in South East London and currently on an international specialist minimally invasive surgery and arthroscopy educational fellowship in Sydney. I have a strong research background with over 80 publications and 100 international and national presentations spanning research projects in trauma & orthopaedic surgery, anatomy, medical education and mobile health. Over the course of my career, I have secured grant awards of over £50,000 demonstrating my ability to secure funding for research projects. I am actively engaged in surgical education, regularly teaching and mentoring junior colleagues for which I was recognised by being awarded the Silver Suture National Trainee Trainer of the Year in 2021.

Daniel Patton

I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and did my medical school training at Loma Linda University. Orthopedic Surgery residency in Seattle, Washington ant UW/ Harborvirw and then fellowship with Anderson and Bohay in Grand Rapids Michigan in Foot Ankle. I’ve been private practice at Arrowhead Orthopedics in Southern California for the last eight years and doing MIS since I started practice.
